How to choose air conditioning branch pipes?

1. Judgment of material of air conditioner branch pipe

After surface treatment, it is impossible to distinguish with the naked eye whether the branch pipe is made of extruded copper pipe or stretched copper pipe. Only through industrial metallographic microscopes can professionals determine the material of the copper tube based on its grain size.

As an ordinary customer, without the help of instruments, it can only be confirmed through indirect methods such as evaluation of the supplier's corporate reputation and relevant procurement quality certificates.

2. Judgment of wall thickness of air conditioner branch pipe material

Simply observing the finished product of a branch pipe, it is difficult to intuitively judge the material thickness. In general, the following methods can be used to make comparative judgments. 

· Appearance method: Compare the end diameter wall thickness of the two branch pipes at the same part. The wall thickness of the thin branch pipe diameter will be significantly thinner than the diameter wall thickness of the product that meets the requirements.

·Listening method: Hold the same part of the two branch pipes and use another metal rod to tap the same part of the two branch pipes respectively. The sound of the knock will be obviously different. The sound from a thin-walled branch pipe is a bit hollow and floating, while the sound from a thick-walled branch pipe is crisp and solid.

·The most direct method is to use wire cutting to cut the branch pipe along the axis and measure it with a vernier caliper.

3.Welding quality judgment

Welding quality can be judged by the following methods.

· Use a flashlight to illuminate the welding and welding conditions of the tee of the branch pipe from the single diameter;

· Use wire cutting to cut the tee part of the branch pipe from the middle along the axis, and you can clearly see whether there are missing or weak welds in the tee welding part of the branch pipe.
